Cap Coast F.C caters for junior footballers from ages four to seventeen through several different programs. Miniroos from 6 - 11 years play in our Miniroos competition run here on the Coast each Saturday while our Junior Competitive Players (12 - 17) play in a home and away competition in Rockhampton, Gladstone and Yeppoon..

KICK OFF
4-5 years
Do you have a child keen to learn a new safe sport in a fun, friendly environment? Then our MiniRoos Kick-Off program is just right for you. The weekly sessions are the perfect introduction to the world’s most popular game for boys and girls aged between 4 and 5. Children are given a ball and have a ball!
Coaches take the class through a series of football drills that focus on fun before sticking on bibs and playing a match in the 45 minute sessions. Every player gets plenty of time on the ball and the prime aim of each session is for children to build fundamental motor skills in a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment."
When a child first registers for a Kickoff program they receive a MiniRoos Participant Pack.
MINIROOS
6-7 years
MiniRoos (6/7 Years) is 4-a-side game with no goal-keeper and a maximum of three substitutes. Hand ball is only called if the Referee sees it as a deliberate act. No score is recorded. The field size is adjusted down to accomodate the smaller players.
Teams play at Apex Park on the lower fields on Saturday mornings. Children will be required to wear boots, shin pads and team uniforms (contact us for sponsorship opportunities).
Players must register through SQUADI. If players wish to form a team together with a coach prior to the season please email us with your team name, coaches name and team list. Individual registrations are also fine and Cap Coast F.C will do its best to assign children to teams with a coach. Whilst every care will be taken to match up players with their preferred teams, there is no guarantee that all requests will be able to be fulfilled. Final numbers will be the deciding factor in some cases.

MINIROOS
8-9 years
MiniRoos (8/9 Years) is a 7-a-side game with goal-keeper and a maximum of four substitutes. Penalties are awarded for handballs and misconduct. Goal and Corner kicks are taken and throw-ins must be made by throwing the ball over the heads with two hands and both feet on the ground. No offside rule is played but players are discouraged to stand in blatant offside positions.

MiniRoos (10/11 Years) is 9-a-side game with goal-keeper and a maximum of five substitutes. Players must stand 5 metres away from throw-ins, penalty kicks, goal kicks or corner kicks. The offside rule does not apply but children are directed not stand in blatant offside positions and encouraged to be onside at all times.

JUNIOR COMPETITIVE

Games are played at club grounds in Rockhampton Gladstone and our local club ground (Apex Park) on Saturday mornings. Home and away games tend to alternate. Parents are responsible for getting their children to games on time.
Playing tops and shorts are issued by the club but children will need to have their own club socks soccer boots and shin guards. Club socks and shorts can be purchased from Intersport Yeppoon.
